Someone once said that wisdom is to live your one and only life in such a way that when it comes to an end, and it will, God looks at it and says, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Well done."
This is wisdom. From the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night, you love God with all your heart and soul and mind and strength, and then you walk through the day and love the people that you see. Love them like you love yourself. Then become a servant of the world.
Not a bad way to live!

I think another aspect of wisdom related to this is to spend the remaining part of that one and only life looking ahead and not back.
Instead of regrets over the days, months, or years that weren't lived to their fullest potential (and I think every one of us has those), plan on making the most of each day, press on toward making the next day better than the last, prepare for the days that aren't, and persist through the inevitable trials and failures.
We should not focus on our regrets, but most important we must not forget what was learned.
If you made a mistake, admitted to it, worked through it, and remebered the lesson, and the next time you come to it again, you will know what to do.
But we must also remember to heed wisdom from God, and always turn to him for wisdom and guidance.
God will be the one who sees you through the day, you can not rely on yourself to persist through, but we must be connected to God Almighty, through him we will continue.
Spend time in the word of God, this is where you will find the answers.
But STOP, LISTEN, OBEY
Congrats on your 100th post! As a wise person once said: "It's only failure if you don't get up." Fortunately, God has always been there to help me get up.
I thought I would post here since you said you don't get much traffic on this site! my dad always told us we are to live each day as it if is our last...i know we don't because we are always thinking of the next event, holiday or appointment instead of living today and realizing his grace only covers us for today!
I like that Claudia, it is true we must live like today is the last,
But think about
Live like today is the last, learn from today like you are going to live tommorow.
